Your questions, answered
Do I need private health insurance to be seen?
No. Dr Abraham sees both self-funding and insured patients, and is recognised by all major private medical insurers. In your words: “You do not need private healthcare insurance to see me.”
What should I bring to the appointment?
Please bring any relevant medical records, including your child’s immunisation card (the “Red Book”). Arriving at least 15 minutes before your appointment allows time to complete registration.
How long are appointments?
A new patient consultation lasts 30 minutes; a follow-up consultation lasts 20 minutes.
What about tests and prescriptions?
If tests are required they can be undertaken and the hospital will invoice you directly. Private prescriptions can be dispensed on-site or at your local pharmacy. Consultation fees do not include the cost of tests or prescriptions, which are invoiced separately.
Which insurers do you work with?
Dr Abraham works with all major UK providers, including BUPA, Aviva, AXA Health, Cigna, Healix, Simplyhealth, Vitality, WPA.
What is your cancellation policy?
A minimum of two full working days’ notice is required for cancellations, by email. Late cancellations or non-attendance are charged in full.
